Approach

Every client is different, but as an example, this approach is one we used recently with a client that wished to review its marketing strategy and win more new business:

1. Establish Market Positioning Before going to market it is essential you have the right messages and story to go to market with. This includes a clear articulation of your USPs, points of difference and what value you bring to your clients. This may be a relatively short piece of work, or may involve market research and internal workshops. Nevertheless it is the most important stage as once this is done correctly, your chances of success multiply significantly.

2. Identify Your Targets Who is most likely to buy from you? Where are you most likely to have success? Who are the influencers and third parties who will influence the decision-making process? These and other questions must be addressed in order to create your targets for your marketing programme. A sustained and thoughtful contact programme will bring rewards in the short and long term.

3. Train Your People Your people need to be able to articulate a consistent `elevator speech' about your company. Everyone (and at the very least, all client-facing staff) need to be clear about your positioning and USPs. They need to be able to ask great questions and tell stories. More importantly, they need to have the right selling skills. Don't waste your time setting up meetings for people who can't sell. We can train your people if required.

4. Develop Your Marketing Materials Websites, emarketing, social media, events, PR..... your communication channels and assets need a consistent and compelling message.

5. Meet The Market You have the strategy, the skills and the materials, so now you need to get out there and meet people, face to face or virtually. We will set up meetings for you.

6. Get The System Working The feast and famine so many consultancies suffer from is because they don't have a resource to keep the leads coming in, the website running and the services being developed. Someone with the right capabilities needs to run and continually improve the system. We provide cost-effective ongoing support to ensure your brand keeps growing and your pipeline remains full.
